Painting Animals by Lynne Lockhart
At the March 18th meeting, oil painter Lynne Lockhart will being doing a demo on her signature subject, animals. She will be showing us how one must understand the anatomy of the model in order to truly depict the animal being depicted. Lynne says that the application of paint is the easy part, translating the spirit of the live creature on to the canvas is the challenge. A dog will be at the meeting to serve as her subject.
She is a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists and lives in Berlin MD with her artist husband Kirk McBride and their two beloved mutts.
