Diane Rappisi is a contemporary realist painter who specializes in figure and still life paintings, using oil, charcoal, pastels, and graphite. She received traditional art training in the Professional Program at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, where she deepened her understanding of color, form, and anatomy and discovered her love of figure painting.

Diane grew up in New Jersey but went on to live and teach in Massachusetts, Colorado, and Texas before she and her husband settled in eastern Maryland. Diane now operates the Diane Rappisi Fine Arts studio in Chestertown, where she paints, teaches, and exhibits. She also offers workshops, of which recent ones included locations in Australia and New Zealand, and she is on the faculty of the Academy Art Museum in Easton.
