9:00 – 4:00

FEE: Members $495/ Non-members $550

“ As artists, our creative goals will never be accomplished. We will always be students of nature, striving to capture its elusive essence”.

Sergio will focus on the techniques and principles of Plein Air painting of coastal marine landscapes by expressing the elegance of nature through his masterful brushwork and ability to capture light and atmospheric effects. Sergio will demonstrate and complete a study in the morning encouraging fellow artists to observe or paint along. “After the demo, students will receive individual instruction and encouragement while completing their painting “ Alla Prima” (in one sitting) Sergio is a marvelous teacher who passionately shares his experience and gives 150% to each student. FUN!

This workshop held indoors and plein air, weather permitting, will include demonstrations, painting and more painting.  The objectives of this three-day course is to learn how to see nature’s details, to understand the interplay of light and shadow, to know color mixing choices, and to experience “Alla Prima”.
