Drawing the Classical Figure:
A FREE Video Course with Robert Liberace
Beginning Jan 12, 2018 and continuing for 3 Friday mornings to January 25, 10 am to noon, the St. Michaels Art League and the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Library will present Robert Liberace’s video course: Drawing the Classical Figure in chalk.
NOTE: due to the weather cancellation of the first session, this course has added a 4th session which will be held on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3 from 10-noon.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to study with a master artist and teacher. Robert Liberace is a well-known inspiring, informative and entertaining instructor. The course will focus on classical drawing inspired by the masters – Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Students can expect to learn basic figure drawing in simple step by step lessons.
Artists should bring a large sketch book, pencils, conte or pastel crayons and follow along, or if you prefer, just watch!
About the artist:
Robert Liberace teaches at the Art League of Virginia and holds workshops throughout the United States and abroad. He regularly tours students through the great museums of Europe, garnering from his extensive knowledge of the old European masters. He received his BFA and MFA from George Washington University.
