FEBRUARY free video art course
Creative Art Class Mark Making and Drawing a FREE video course with Dawn Emerson
One session, Thursday February 15, 2018, 10 to noon at the St. Michaels library.
In this video course, participants will see new ways of art making using unusual art materials which will encourage you to see and depict your subject in new ways by making marks using pencils, ink or pastel. Emerson makes up simple stories and gives you permission to use your imagination while building on solid art principles of composition, line, shape, texture and more. A great way to loosen up!
Bring your own materials to draw (sketch pad, pencils, or charcoal) or just follow along and watch the video. Art league members will be present to show examples of tools used such as a brayer and also show you how to make simple monotypes using water miscible oil on a plastic plate.
